‘Green’ seems to be the color, or the word, that is getting a lot of attention lately. Many magazines and most newspapers carry articles and ads titled with key words such as green or green building. These terms bring to most minds the picture of homes or commercial buildings that have been designed to conserve energy and/or money utilizing systems to cool, heat or provide light in a very efficient manner. New ideas and technologies are consistently on the drawing boards, challenging architects, designers and builders to stay on the cutting edge.
