Acai Berry and Lupus Help

17 May

I am a Lupus Survivor and I am also someone who knows the key to fighting lupus is taking care of yourself, and that means eating right for starters. Actually, acai berry and lupus don’t sound like they are related but eating healthy is very important in order to keep your lupus under control.

Acai berries are the number one superfood in the world and one that is chocked full of antioxidants, phytonutrients, essential fatty acids (Omega 3), amino acids, Vitamins, minerals, and complex carbohydrates. It also contains dietary fiber, and of course trace minerals. This fruit has really helped me to get out of bed each day.

I had a host of major problems when I first started taking acai berries. I was in a full blown Lupus attack and my ankles where four times their size. My kidneys were bleeding and their protein level was way too high.

I can only imagine what my T-cell count was then. I wasn’t sleeping and I had migraines like I had gone through a car window. I was taking blood pressure and diabetes medicine and I was super depressed…well, I guess if you read that list you would be depressed too.

I really focused on my diet and starting adding acai. Anyone with full blown lupus understands how tough it is to get out of bed when an attack hits. However, I was able to recover sooner and get moving again. Even though I was moving around with a cane, I still kept moving.

This is just the beginning of how I feel a simple fruit has helped me combat Lupus. I wanted to tell you and share my story so that you would know that there is help that isn’t harmful pharmaceuticals-natural help.

Pharmaceuticals will create other issues with your Lupus that you will never dream possible. I know from experience. My lupus was actually brought on by medical science pharmaceuticals along with not being diagnosed properly. Don’t get caught up taking drugs to only mask your problems. They will still be there and your primary internal organs won’t be. I am a Lupus Survivor and you can survive too.
